Violent Radicalized Home Grown Terrorist Prevention Act

These are excerpts from the actual bill S1959:

`(3) HOMEGROWN TERRORISM- The term `homegrown terrorism’ means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

`SEC. 899B. FINDINGS.

`The Congress finds the following:

`(1) The development and implementation of methods and processes that can be used to prevent violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence in the United States is critical to combating domestic terrorism.

`(2) The promotion of violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence exists in the United States and poses a threat to homeland security.

`(3) The Internet has aided in facilitating violent radicalization, ideologically based violence, and the homegrown terrorism process in the United States by providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens.

`(4) While the United States must continue its vigilant efforts to combat international terrorism, it must also strengthen efforts to combat the threat posed by homegrown terrorists based and operating within the United States.

War on Greed: Fight for the Dream

Brave New Films ongoing “War on Greed” campaign seeks to educate the public about how leveraged buyout firms like KKR operate and the damage that they often do. This new video in the series, “Fight For The Dream” tells the story of the workers at Accuride’s Rockford, Illinois plant; a company bought by KKR, and contrasts the exploitation they faced with Dr. King’s message of equality and dignity.

Was I wrong about Alex Jones

I watched Alex Jones End Game, and thought he was up in the night. The International Bankers conspiring with the UN to kill off 80% of the world’s population? Preposterous.

I had reasoned as in Freakonomics, population growth hurts the poor. Just as more money in circulation dilutes the value of the dollar (the Inflation Tax), the more people we have the cheaper the labor. This benefits the rich.  This is why the U.S. government won’t crack down on illegal immigration.

Then I read the creepiest tech article I have ever read in my life Why the future doesn’t need us by Bill Joy.

Bill Joys credentials are pretty impressive:

Cofounder and Chief Scientist of Sun Microsystems, was cochair of the presidential commission on the future of IT research, and is coauthor of The Java Language Specification. His work on the Jini pervasive computing technology was featured in Wired 6.08.

According to Bill Joy what many of us would call “The Matrix” is theoretically going to happen.

There are many points covered in Bill Joy’s article. One of the most shocking excerpts from the article is what Bill Joy has to say about Theodore Kaczynski. That’s right–the Unabomber.

Kaczynski’s actions were murderous and, in my view, criminally insane. He is clearly a Luddite, but simply saying this does not dismiss his argument; as difficult as it is for me to acknowledge, I saw some merit in the reasoning in this single passage. I felt compelled to confront it.

    . . . (We’re lucky Kaczynski was a mathematician, not a molecular biologist.)

It appears Kaczynski was a mathematician trying to blow up scientists. Scientists he thought were going to bring an end to mankind as we know it. I never knew that’s what his motive was, or that he was a mathematician.

It reminds me of the Terminator where they are trying to take out the scientist before he can create the technology that’s going to enable them to create the terminator.

I still don’t believe Charles Darwin was part of a eugenics conspiracy

Again the article covers many points on men and science leading to the demise of mankind. Another issue Bill Joy looks at is nuclear weapons. Specifically the Manhattan Project and the Trinity Test.
